Summary
This study compares methadone (a long-acting opioid) to standard short-acting opioids like fentanyl for pain relief after cleft palate repair in children aged 6 months to 4 years. The goal is to see if methadone reduces the total amount of pain medicine needed. The trial is currently recruiting 60 participants at Duke University.
