New combo aims to ease pain after liver transplant

Summary
This study tests whether giving methadone and ketamine during a liver transplant can lower pain and confusion after surgery. Fifty adults receiving a liver from a deceased donor will be randomly assigned to get either these drugs or standard care. Researchers will track pain scores, opioid use, and delirium during recovery.
