Diabetes drug could boost dental implant success
NCT ID NCT07497568
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether applying a 1% metformin gel around dental implants can improve how well they stay in place and how much bone grows around them. About 34 adults who need a dental implant will be split into two groups: one gets the gel, the other does not. Researchers will measure implant stability and bone density over three months to see if the gel helps the implant bond with the jawbone.
