NCT ID NCT07497568

First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether applying a 1% metformin gel to dental implants helps them stay stable and improves bone density around the implant. About 34 adults who need a tooth replacement will be split into two groups: one gets the gel, the other does not. Researchers will measure implant stability and bone changes over 3 months to see if the gel helps the implant fuse with the jawbone.
