First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at how the health of blood vessels and a person's genes might be linked to early signs of COPD and emphysema. Researchers followed over 4,300 adults from a larger heart study, measuring lung function and using CT scans to check for lung damage. The goal is to better understand what causes these lung diseases, not to test a new treatment.
