First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of MRI scan, called manganese-enhanced MRI (MEMRI), can help predict heart and kidney complications in people with kidney disease. Researchers will scan 120 adults with conditions like acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, or kidney transplants to see how their cells handle calcium. The goal is to find a better way to identify who is at risk for future heart problems, which are common in kidney patients.
