New combo therapy targets deadly melanoma in the brain
NCT ID NCT03873818
Summary
This study tested whether using a lower dose of the drug ipilimumab together with pembrolizumab could help control melanoma that had spread to the brain. The trial involved 24 patients with this advanced cancer. Researchers wanted to see if this combination was safe and could shrink or stabilize brain tumors by helping the body's own immune system fight the cancer.
