First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study will test if combining the Mediterranean diet with intermittent fasting can lower blood pressure in people with newly diagnosed hypertension. About 48 adults aged 40-65 with high blood pressure and a healthy weight will follow one of three eating plans: a low-salt Mediterranean diet, intermittent fasting, or both. The goal is to see if these diet changes offer a simple, drug-free way to manage blood pressure.
