Scientists test engineered measles virus to fight advanced breast cancer

NCT ID NCT04521764

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a modified measles virus (MV-s-NAP) that is injected directly into tumors in patients with metastatic breast cancer. The goal is to see if the virus can safely infect and kill cancer cells while also stimulating the patient's immune system to attack the cancer. Researchers will find the safest dose and look for early signs that the treatment shrinks tumors.
