Summary
This study looks at why some adolescents and young adults feel very tired for months after getting infected with the Epstein-Barr virus (the cause of 'kissing disease'). Researchers will follow 150 infected teens and 150 healthy teens for six months, using brain scans, immune tests, and questionnaires. The goal is to learn how the brain, immune system, and nervous system interact to cause persistent fatigue. No treatments are being tested.
