New exercise combo may fix rounded shoulders and neck pain
NCT ID NCT07588061
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding a hands-on joint technique (Maitland mobilization) to standard strengthening exercises (Kendall exercises) works better than exercises alone for adults with Upper Cross Syndrome—a common condition causing forward head, rounded shoulders, and upper back pain. About 58 adults aged 18–45 with neck or upper back pain for over 6 weeks will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. Researchers will measure pain, head angle, shoulder position, and spine curve before and after treatment.
