Which exercise fixes desk posture and pain? a Head-to-Head test
NCT ID NCT07766070
First seen Aug 14, 2026 · Last updated Aug 14, 2026
Summary
This trial compares two exercise programs—stabilization exercises and corrective exercises—to see which better reduces pain, improves breathing, and corrects posture in office workers with upper cross syndrome. About 50 adults aged 24–40 who work long hours at computers will be randomly assigned to one of the two programs, each lasting six weeks. Researchers will measure pain, lung function, and posture before and after to determine which approach offers greater benefits.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Stabilization exercises and corrective exercises
- What this could lead to
- If one exercise approach proves more effective, it could give physiotherapists a clear, evidence-based way to treat upper cross syndrome in desk workers.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial with only 50 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Exercise programs also depend on adherence, and some people may not improve.
