Ketamine infusions help sustain mood gains in tough-to-treat bipolar depression
NCT ID NCT05339074
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looked at whether repeated ketamine infusions could keep depression symptoms away in people with bipolar disorder who had already responded to an initial course of ketamine. Forty-one adults who completed a prior ketamine trial received up to six additional infusions over 12 weeks. The goal was to see if flexible dosing could maintain antidepressant effects safely without triggering mania.
