Magnetic belly treatment shows promise for constipation relief
NCT ID NCT06578442
First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether applying a magnetic field to the belly (transabdominal magnetic field therapy) can reduce constipation severity in people with long-term constipation. 75 adults were split into three groups: one received the real magnetic therapy twice a week for 8 weeks, another received a fake (sham) treatment, and the third got only standard education about managing constipation. The main goal was to see if the magnetic therapy improved constipation symptoms and quality of life compared to the other approaches.
