New magnesium shield may improve dental implant outcomes
NCT ID NCT07492576
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether a magnesium membrane placed around a dental implant helps preserve bone and gum shape better than the standard dual zone grafting technique. About 22 adults with a failing front tooth and thin bone will receive an immediate implant with one of the two methods. The goal is to see which approach leads to better healing, appearance, and less discomfort.
