Could a simple magnesium pill boost depression treatment?
NCT ID NCT07633080
First seen Jun 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a magnesium supplement (magnesium bisglycinate) to standard antidepressant medication can help adults with major depression feel better. About 84 people aged 18-65 who are already on a stable antidepressant will receive either the supplement or a placebo for several weeks. Researchers will track changes in mood, anxiety, sleep, and daily function to see if magnesium offers extra relief.
