Can a simple vitamin combo ease the mental strain of bipolar disorder?
NCT ID NCT05837104
Summary
This study is testing if adding an over-the-counter magnesium and vitamin B6 supplement to standard treatment can help reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress in adults recently diagnosed with bipolar I disorder. Researchers will compare the supplement to a placebo (inactive pill) over four weeks while all participants continue their usual care. They will also use brain scans to see if the supplement affects brain chemistry related to energy.
