Lighting up the lymphatic system: a new way to diagnose swelling disorders
NCT ID NCT00833599
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study uses a special camera and a safe dye to take pictures of the lymphatic system, which helps drain fluid from the body. Researchers want to see how this system works in healthy people and in those with conditions like lymphedema (chronic swelling) or lipedema (fat buildup). The goal is to better diagnose these disorders and link the images to genetic causes. About 283 adults will take part.
