Summary
This study tests whether a bedside lung ultrasound can help doctors see how well collapsed lung areas reopen in obese patients on breathing machines. About 45 adults with a BMI of 33 or higher will be scanned before, during, and after a standard lung-opening procedure. The goal is to find the best air pressure to keep lungs open and improve oxygen levels, potentially reducing lung injury.
