New scan reveals how rehab helps lungs heal after blood clots

NCT ID NCT05103670

First seen Jun 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how a special PET/CT scan can show changes in lung function after pulmonary rehabilitation in people who still have shortness of breath after a pulmonary embolism. About 32 adults who are already in a larger rehab study will get two scans—one before and one after the program. The goal is to understand if rehab improves how well the lungs move air and blood.
