Leg artery check may spot hidden lung cancer risk
NCT ID NCT07598279
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether people with peripheral vascular disease (narrowed leg arteries) might also be at high risk for lung cancer because of shared smoking history. Researchers will check if these patients qualify for lung cancer screening and refer them for a low-dose CT scan. The goal is to see if a simple ankle-brachial index test can help catch lung cancer earlier in smokers.
