First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study created a large collection of biological samples (like sputum, blood, and urine) from over 9,700 tin miners in China who are at high risk for lung cancer due to exposure to radon, arsenic, and tobacco. The goal was to identify early markers of lung cancer to improve detection and understand risk factors. Participants provided samples during annual screenings and were followed over time to see who developed the disease.
