Could less radiation be enough? new trial aims to reduce side effects for throat cancer patients

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a shorter course of lower-dose radiation after robotic surgery is safe for people with HPV-related throat cancer. About 104 adults with early-stage disease will receive this de-intensified treatment. The goal is to keep the cancer from coming back while reducing side effects from radiation.
