Taekwondo athletes test new Low-Impact training for stronger kicks
NCT ID NCT07538037
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether low-intensity blood flow restriction training (LI-BFRT) can help taekwondo athletes improve leg strength and kicking performance. LI-BFRT involves partially restricting blood flow to muscles during exercise, which may boost results with less strain. The study will include 18 national-level taekwondo athletes aged 16-25 who are free from recent leg injuries. Researchers will measure kicking speed, leg power, and strength to see if this method works.
