NCT ID NCT07119437
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 37 times
Summary
This study compares a new, gentler surgical technique called low impact laparoscopy (using lower gas pressure and smaller cuts) to standard laparoscopy for people having weight-loss surgery (sleeve gastrectomy). The goal is to see if the gentler method reduces post-surgery pain and helps lung function recover faster. About 128 adults with obesity will take part, and their pain, breathing, and satisfaction will be tracked for up to 3 months after surgery.
