Gentler surgery tested to ease pain after Weight-Loss operations
NCT ID NCT07119437
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentler version of laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery can reduce pain and help patients breathe better after weight-loss surgery. Researchers will compare this 'low impact' technique, which uses lower gas pressure and smaller cuts, to the standard laparoscopic method in 128 patients. The main goal is to see if the new approach leads to less pain after surgery and better recovery of lung function.
