First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at two common anesthesia gases (sevoflurane and desflurane) given at low flow rates to see which one causes less sore throat after gallbladder removal surgery. About 70 adults having this surgery will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two anesthetics. The main goal is to measure how many people have a sore throat and how bad it is after the operation.
