Summary

This study tests whether a low dose thyroid hormone can help Veterans with NASH, a serious liver disease linked to obesity and diabetes. The goal is to see if the hormone improves the liver's ability to break down fat and reduces liver damage. About 128 participants will receive either the hormone or a placebo for 52 weeks, with liver biopsies before and after treatment.
