Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a short course of low-dose radiation to the brain could reduce amyloid plaques, a hallmark of Alzheimer's disease. Twenty people with early-stage Alzheimer's and confirmed amyloid buildup took part. The main goals were to check safety and see if brain scans showed a decrease in amyloid after treatment.
