First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study follows African children who received a Shigella vaccine in earlier studies to see how long their immune protection lasts. No new vaccines are given—only blood samples are taken at 1, 2, and 3 years after the last shot. The goal is to understand the vaccine's long-term effectiveness against diarrhea-causing Shigella bacteria.
