Could immune cells fight Alzheimer's? new study tests Long-Term safety
NCT ID NCT07228078
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing the long-term safety of SNK01, a personalized therapy made from a patient's own natural killer cells, in 30 people with Alzheimer's disease. It is an extension of an earlier trial and aims to see if the treatment is safe and tolerable over time. Researchers will also look for early signs of whether it might help with thinking and memory.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new way to slow or manage Alzheimer's disease by boosting the immune system.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage extension study focused on safety, not proof of effectiveness. The treatment may not improve symptoms or could cause side effects.
