Summary

This study follows 312 older adults who were in the ICU for critical illness to see how their physical activity during the hospital stay relates to their recovery. Researchers measure disability, physical function, and cognitive function at 3 and 12 months after leaving the ICU. The goal is to understand risk factors for long-term disability and guide future care.
