First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study follows 100 adults who had a traumatic brain injury and completed 60 sessions of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
hyperbaric oxygen therapy
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that hyperbaric oxygen therapy provides lasting cognitive improvements for TBI patients.
What could go wrong
This is an observational follow-up, not a new treatment test. Results may not apply to all TBI patients, and cognitive changes could be due to natural recovery.
