Summary
This study will test whether a long-acting injection called buprenorphine is acceptable and effective for treating opioid dependence in low- and middle-income countries. About 760 adults who inject drugs will receive the monthly shot and be followed for 48 weeks. The goal is to see if this treatment helps people stay in care and reduces opioid use.
