Summary

This study tests whether a monthly injection of buprenorphine (a medication for opioid dependence) works well and is affordable in low- and middle-income countries. About 760 adults who inject drugs and have opioid dependence will receive the injection and be followed for 48 weeks. The goal is to see if this long-acting option improves treatment satisfaction, keeps people in care, and reduces opioid use.
