First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at a special ultrasound technique called liver elastography to measure liver scarring in children with type III glycogen storage disease. The goal is to see if this painless scan can replace the need for a liver biopsy. Researchers will review past scans from 30 children and young adults to understand how well this method works for monitoring their liver health.
