New catheter may boost liver tumor treatment precision
NCT ID NCT05128032
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study compares two types of catheters used during a mapping step before liver cancer treatment. The goal is to see if a pressure-enabled device delivers more radioactivity directly to tumors than a standard catheter. Twenty adults with liver cancer will each receive both catheters, and imaging will measure how well the radioactive tracer reaches the tumors. The results may help improve future radioembolization procedures.
