First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding special decoding and encoding lessons to a standard literacy program helps children who use communication devices read better. Sixty children ages 5-12 will be split into two groups: one gets the standard program, the other gets the enhanced version. Researchers will measure reading skills at the start, middle, and end of the 60-lesson program to see which approach works best.
