Summary
This study tested a light-based treatment called photoneuromodulation to help with the negative symptoms of schizophrenia, such as lack of motivation or social withdrawal. Thirty adults who had not responded to other treatments received either real or fake (sham) light sessions, then switched groups. The goal was to see if the light therapy could improve symptoms and brain chemistry.
