First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a non-invasive light therapy called photoneuromodulation in 30 adults with schizophrenia whose negative symptoms (like lack of motivation or social withdrawal) did not improve with standard treatments. Participants received either real or sham light sessions, then switched groups. The goal was to see if the light treatment could reduce these symptoms and improve quality of life.
