Can special lighting help dementia patients sleep better?
NCT ID NCT06595030
Summary
This study tested whether a special, tailored lighting treatment could help people with Alzheimer's or dementia sleep better and improve their mood and thinking. Researchers compared the active light treatment to a placebo light for six months in 101 participants. They measured changes in sleep quality, agitation, depression, and cognitive function to see if the lighting made a difference.
