Shining light on brain healing: new therapy tested for injury recovery
NCT ID NCT06956404
Summary
This study is testing whether a safe, non-invasive light therapy can help older adults who have had a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury. Researchers want to see if shining light on the forehead improves blood flow to the brain and helps with thinking skills like planning and focus. They are looking for 70 participants aged 55-85 who had their brain injury 1-2 years ago.
