First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study explores whether low intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) can safely change brain activity in areas linked to depression and anxiety. It involves 25 veterans, some of whom will receive LIFU while undergoing brain scans. The main goal is to check safety and see if the technique can reach deep brain structures that other non-invasive methods cannot.
