Lifestyle coaching after kidney transplant may curb weight gain and diabetes risk

NCT ID NCT06640179

First seen Jul 02, 2026 · Last updated Jul 02, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a lifestyle program focused on diet and physical activity can help prevent weight gain and blood sugar issues in adults who have recently had a kidney transplant. About 60 participants will either receive standard medical care alone or standard care plus weekly behavioral sessions for 6 months. Researchers will check if the program is feasible and if it leads to better weight control, body composition, and glucose metabolism compared to standard care alone.
