First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using normal saline instead of lidocaine during a common surgery for stress urinary incontinence (a sling procedure) can help women avoid temporary bladder problems after surgery. About 150 women took part. The goal was to see if fewer women would need a catheter after surgery when saline was used.
