Summary
This study compares a new drug called leymovir to the standard drug valganciclovir for preventing cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in 290 Chinese kidney transplant recipients. Leymovir targets a different part of the virus, which may reduce side effects like bone marrow suppression and kidney damage. The goal is to see if leymovir is as effective and safer than the current treatment.
