Blood type clues may reveal hidden clot risk
NCT ID NCT07402005
First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether certain natural markers on red blood cells, called Lewis antigens, are more common in people who have had blood clots in their veins. Researchers will test 100 adults with a history of deep vein thrombosis and compare their Lewis antigen types with known clot risk factors. The goal is to better understand if these blood markers can help identify people at higher risk for future clots.
