Laughter yoga boosts mood in teens with disabilities, study finds

Summary
This pilot study tested a 4-week laughter yoga program (8 sessions) in 45 adolescents with mild to moderate intellectual or physical disabilities at a special school in Hong Kong. Participants were split into two groups: one did laughter yoga, the other received usual care. The goal was to see if laughter yoga could improve mood, reduce anxiety, and lessen loneliness. Results are preliminary and help guide future research.
