Can laughter be the best medicine for teens with disabilities?
NCT ID NCT05832346
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a 4-week laughter yoga program could help improve the mental well-being of adolescents with intellectual and physical disabilities. Forty-five teens from a special school in Hong Kong were randomly assigned to either participate in the laughter yoga sessions or continue with their usual school routine. Researchers measured changes in mood, anxiety, and loneliness to see if the playful, guided laughter exercises made a difference.
