Can a short training save lives from a rare anesthetic danger?
NCT ID NCT07463274
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a special training program helps surgical residents (doctors who are not anesthesia specialists) learn how to recognize and treat Local Anesthetic Systemic Toxicity (LAST), a rare but serious reaction to numbing medicine. About 102 residents will take part, and their knowledge and skills will be tested before, right after, and one month after the training. The goal is to see if the training improves their ability to handle this emergency.
