Zapping brain tumors with laser heat and radiation in new trial

NCT ID NCT04181684

Summary

This study is testing a two-step treatment for brain tumors (gliomas) that have come back. First, doctors use a laser to heat and destroy tumor tissue. Then, patients receive a short, intense course of radiation therapy. The goal is to see if this combination can control the tumor's growth while being safe for patients.
