First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compared two surgical methods for esophageal cancer: open surgery and a less invasive approach using a laparoscope. The goal was to see if the laparoscopic method could reduce major complications within 30 days after surgery. About 207 adults with esophageal cancer took part. The results help doctors choose the best surgical option to improve recovery.
