First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested two ways of giving epidural pain relief during labor in 102 full-term pregnant women. One method uses a special needle to create a tiny hole in the spinal lining before giving medicine, while the other uses the standard approach. Researchers measured how quickly pain relief started, how well it worked, and any side effects for both mother and baby.
