New nerve block technique may improve recovery after knee replacement

Summary

This study tests two different pain-blocking methods (iPACK and BiFeS) for people having knee replacement surgery. The goal is to see which one provides better pain relief and helps patients recover faster. About 74 adults will take part, and all will receive a standard nerve block for the front of the knee plus one of the two methods for the back of the knee.
