New nerve block may cut opioid use after knee replacement
NCT ID NCT07577869
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026
Summary
This study tests if a specific nerve block (short-head biceps femoris block) plus a standard block can reduce pain and morphine use after knee replacement surgery. 60 adults having knee replacement will be split into two groups: one gets the extra nerve block, the other gets standard pain care. The main goal is to see if the extra block lowers morphine use in the first 24 hours after surgery.
